I started using this pseudonym a few years ago as a way to be anonymous while posting my political comments online, but also as a way to represent female Conservatives. Jane Republican is like Jane Doe in the sense that she is (or was) unidentified. But I no longer want to be anonymous. I'm proud of my viewpoints, and I want this to be something I can shout to the world. I'm not going to hide.
So, who is JaneRepublican? I'm a not so average female Republican. The reason I describe myself that way is that I live in a VERY liberal state, I'm not married, I have no children, I'm not religious, but despite all that I have Conservative viewpoints. The majority of people I meet for the first time automatically pin-point me as a liberal/Democrat/Progressive or whatever else that side of the aisle is calling themselves these days (Socialist anyone?) because I'm a single female living in California, but I also have an MBA and live in a conservative part of my dear blue state. My views have put me in some sticky situations and lost me some friends, but I can not suppress what I believe to be the truest, the most logical, and the best ideas for the country.
